Kronenbourg 1664

This is a Scandinavian sounding French pale lager. It's apparently the no.1 selling lager in France. A lot of the
time this can be a bad thing, as the masses are easily pleased. Given this fact, this is not that bad of a
mainstream lager. It has a clean and subtle beginning like most pale lagers, the only problem is that is muddied
by a rough aftertaste. I'm guessing it isn't naturally carbonated either as it feels overcarbonated and you get
that 'sting' in the tail.

Strangely it probably tasted better in 1664 when it was made with care. You get the feeling it could have been on to
a winner, and then mass production took over.

6/10
